　　卑爾根大學是挪威人引以自豪的高等學府之一，它創(chuàng)建于1946年，在1825年建立的卑爾根博物館的基礎上發(fā)展起來的,是全國建立的第二所大學（第一所大學是1811年建立的奧斯陸大學）。

　　現(xiàn)在是挪威規(guī)模名列第二的綜合性大學，在2021QS世界大學排行榜上位于194名。在2021泰晤士世界大學排行榜上位于第201-250名，在2021USNEWS世界大學排行榜上位于第166名。
